Dr. Brian grew up downstate outside of East Lansing, Michigan. He ended up attending the University of Michigan for college, following his family’s tradition and a strong love for the maize and blue. After achieving his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, he was accepted to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. From there, he chose to serve his county, continuing his education as an Officer of the United States Air Force.
Dr. Brian completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH before serving three years as a general dentist at the Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, NM. However, he always knew that he wanted to continue his dental education by becoming an orthodontist. Upon the completion of his service with the Air Force, he decided to enroll in the Orthodontic Program at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, achieving his Certificate in Orthodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry. Through his rotations at Case Western Reserve, Dr. Brian gained experience in multiple specialized treatments, including cleft palate.
Being able to provide patients with a great smile! Dr. Brian can’t wait to become a more active member of the Marquette community and start helping even more patients enjoy the health and aesthetic benefits of quality orthodontic care.
When he’s not busy at the practice, Br. Brian loves spending time with his wife Dr. Melisa Potocki (who is a pediatric dentist) and their two daughters. He is also an avid hockey player and enjoys hobbies like fishing, kiteboarding, traveling, and simply being outdoors. He was in a band throughout dental school and still enjoys music as well.
